The pantry continues to be blessed by many dedicated volunteers. Their generous gift of the many, many hours they give is invaluable. We are grateful for the Tuesday “Manna Delivery Day Crew,” the Friday “Shopping Preparation Crew, “ the dedicated “Lord’s Acre Gardener Crew,” and the Saturday “Shopper Assistance Crew”. Thanks to each volunteer! We gained Elise and Margot as new volunteers this Saturday.
On January 25th we served 124 households comprised of 465 individuals. We welcomed 7 new households and 32 new individuals.
Chef Martha prepared tasty tacos for clients and volunteers using ingredients found in the pantry. The tacos were yummy. Not to be outdone, Kim contributed her famous homemade cookies as snacks for the volunteers.
A surprise last week was the donation of 1,007 pounds of food that Sonya brought to us courtesy of her brother’s South East Punk Flea Market in Greenville.
We continue to recognize and thank partner churches, community members, civic organizations, schools, retirement communities, donors, foundations, and all who have contributed in some way to this ministry of service to those experiencing food insecurity.
