"Who Needs a Hand Warmer?" A chilly November Pantry morning did not deter our volunteers from distributing turkeys and 10-pound bags of potatoes into the shopping carts of our neighbors as they exited the building.  They had just finished shopping for items to compliment their Thanksgiving meals including stuffing, green beans, rolls and butter. Creesman Orchard donated apples to accompany the meal.  A "warm" thank you is extended to all our carry out crew!

A "shout out" to our grant team who submitted a grant two years ago for a hoop house. Our growing season has been extended immensely. Doug harvested 33 pounds of peppers and 10 pounds of carrots this week. Our hardy collards will be ready for gathering in early December.

St. James Episcopal Church in Hendersonville contributed diapers and wipes this week. Their outreach to us has been incredible with food and baby diapers. We welcomed 151 neighbors representing 555 individuals.  Fifteen new families joined us representing 70 individuals who benefitted from the generous donations left in our lobby this past week.

On behalf of our Pantry Board, we express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous food and monetary donations to our pantry. Your donations will make a significant impact on the lives of those in our community who are struggling with food insecurity.
