"What's Going to Happen to Our Newly Cleared Land?"
Join us in discerning what is next for the back property.
Now that the eastern area of our property (the space behind the new building) has been cleaned up, what do we do with 3 acres? And more importantly, how can we be faithful to God's call to care for this land that is entrusted to us?
As we begin this conversation and work to develop a plan, we have asked Master Gardener Alison Arnold from the Buncombe County Extension Office to join us for an initial meeting. This meeting will take place on Monday, November 4, at 1:00 p.m. in the Commons Room. It is open to all parishioners, and we hope you will join us.
Alison is coming to listen to our hopes and suggestions. She's not there to tell us what to do, but rather to offer her experience as guide for what will work and how to make it happen. She has suggested the following questions to get us thinking:
What is your goal?
What plants you would like to see?
How do you see the area being used?
How will we make this “God’s acres”?
We hope you will bring your thoughts to the Commons Room on Monday, November 4 at 1:00 p.m.
