March 27, 2024
Easter partially arrived a week early at the Pantry on the 23rd. Thanks to Lois, the waiting room was filled with an abundance of Easter baskets, toys and miscellaneous other items reflecting the celebration of the upcoming holiday. This coming Saturday March 30 we fill follow-up with foods for a traditional Easter dinner including delicious hams.
We welcomed 151 Households representing 536 individuals. There were 7 new Households comprised of 26 individuals.
The Pantry continues to grow. Relative to 2023 through the first 12 weeks of 2024 the number of Households served increased 15% with a 19% increase in individuals in those Households.
On behalf of the Executive Committee, thank you to our volunteers and our area churches, civic groups, local merchants, and families for all you do to feed our community, helping to reduce food insecurity. We thank you and appreciate your food and monetary donations.
