Staff Spotlight

Our featured staff person this week is The Rev. Karen Lawrence. She is serving as Interim Churchyard Administrator.

Karen grew up in Henderson County in the Saluda/ Mountain Page area and has lived in WNC most of her life. She was in election administration for many years in NC and Texas. After that she has assisted attorneys with real estate closings Karen now works part time for a real estate attorney, here at Calvary, and as a Part-Time Local Pastor for St. Marks UMC in Marion, NC. She has 2 grandsons: Alex, who is 2 1/2, and James, who is 1 month old. She loves being with family, helping others, and doing jig saw puzzles. Karen's love for dogs also is a big part of her life, especially her best buddy, Olivia. She loves life and can’t wait for her next adventure.
