Food Pantry Celebrating 10th Anniversary
The Calvary Episcopal Church Food Pantry will be ten years old on April 25! We will celebrate on Sunday April 28 at 9:15 a.m. In 2009, the Food Pantry started with a handful of Calvary members, giving out five boxes of food the first day, and look at the growth since! Based on 2018 figures, we serve an average of between 96 households and 335 individuals. We expect that number to grow with our new building and the expansion in TEFAP food services. Fletcher Mayor Rod Whiteside will be on hand to present the Food Pantry with a proclamation from the Town of Fletcher, congratulating us on our growth and ten years of service to the Fletcher community. Mayor Whiteside has volunteered with the Food Pantry and knows first hand what we do. Please plan to join us for an event which gives us a chance to honor our members who have been involved in this outreach ministry over the years.
